D. Agency client Milestones Garage in Bognor Regis has adopted the Point S online tyre wizard to help customers generate an instant quote for tyres via their website.
Developed in-house by Point S, the tyre wizard has a useful API but isn’t responsive by default.
So the clever chaps at D. set to work on the Point S CSS, creating a fully responsive integration for the Milestones website.
Built by D. last year, the Milestones site has been a tremendous success; propelling our client to a top Google position and generating daily quote requests and job bookings. The entire project cost was recouped in three-months, (profit basis not gross revenue basis) generating a substantial ROI.
D. completed the integration in under two days and Milestones now have a sector leading website.
Customers simply enter their vehicle’s required tyre sizes or the vehicle Registration Number to serve up prices of a wide range of tyres brands ranging from low cost budget to premium brands such as Michelin, Continental and Bridgestone.
And because the quotation wizard now works on smart phones, customers don’t need to trudge backwards and forwards with a note of their tyre sizes, they can simple enter the correct details by the side of their vehicle.
Point S is the UK’s leading independent tyre network and provides independent garages like Milestones with the benefits of group buying power.
This means that independent garages, many who are family owned businesses, can match or better the prices offered by national chains.
Fred White, principal at Milestones states:
“We’ve been trading for over 40-years and have a loyal base of customers who value the personalised service that comes from dealing with a locally owned business.”
“But it’s still our responsibility to offer customers the very best value. Point S enables us to provide highly competitive tyres prices and the new integrated tyre wizard just makes life a lot easier.”
D. Agency’s Creative, Development and Social Media Marketing Services Pay Dividends for Breakthrough Music Artist
There’s no denying breakthrough singer songwriter Drew Allen is soaring to success based on drive, determination and a great talent, the team at D. are happy to take a pat on the back in the process.
Drew left a promising career at supercar manufacturer McLaren to pursue a career in music just 18-months ago.
His efforts have just been recognised by none other than internationally acclaimed music artist James Blunt, who has selected Drew to support his Moon Landing World Tour at Bournemouth’s BIC in November.
D. Agency has been working closely with Drew over the last 12-months providing creative services, a digital platform and a social media marketing campaign to support his attempts to break through to the big time.
Drew’s Website, which is based on D.’s own DRUMA distribution (Drupal For Musical Artists), helps his publicity team manage Gigs, News, Hype, Images and Video from one easy to manage CMS.
Fans get to stream music, view lyrics and access the Website on any device including smart phones.
And whilst the Website forms a central marketing platform, D.’s social media work has helped Drew amass over 10,000 followers on Twitter.
All this has been supported by a range of creative and print services covering branding, show cards and gig posters.
Well done to the D. Team on this project: Senior Developer Paul Barnes, Senior Architect Paul ‘Q’ Querol, Marketing Intern Roxanne Ward, and Studio Director Phil Allen.
The agency is currently searching for more breakthrough artists who think a DRUMA music Website will help them. The system is fully managed and available for a low monthly fee.
If you’d like more information on DRUMA, just drop us a line on the Contact page.
We are pleased to report that DRUMA (Drupal For Musical Artists) is now out of Beta and available for use.
The project has been funded by three music artists, who have all taken advantage of the DRUMA system to reduce their initial site development costs and get to market quicker.
Cara Dillon, one of Irelands most prominent Folk Artists is using the platform to market her new album, a Thousand Hearts, and to support her push into the US market.
Winter Mountain, also signed to the same label as Cara (Charcoal Records) are using the platform to market content to a rapidly growing audience of traditional folk and mainstream fans.
Drew Allen, a prolific singer songwriter from Bournemouth who is currently being hailed by the media as “The real deal with an awesome stage presence” has used DRUMA to market his debut album Sydney Afternoon, and support an active global campaign of fan base interaction.
All three artists benefit from a system that allows rapid uploading of multiple types of content including event management and a custom-built music player.
DRUMA’s default theme for Drupal has been used in each case but each deployment can be customised further when required.
If you are a music artist looking to deploy a fully featured content managed website quickly and at low cost, get in touch to see how we can help.
Bournemouth based Drupal Development specialists D. Agency are set to continue their record start to the year with a run of prestigious project wins.
Having recently launched a fully responsive Ajax driven Drupal site for international recording artist Cara Dillon, D. Agency is deep into production on three sites for leading HM Forces Insurance Broker Abacus, and three sites for global DNA testing leader DNA Worldwide.
The dedicated Drupal agency has also begun work on a major project for the International Hydropower Association, which will include a microsite for the 2015 IHA World Hydropower Congress in China.
Studio Director Phil Allen puts the growth down to a general increase in optimism throughout the sector, as well D. Agency’s refinement of its strategy:
“We’ve seen an unprecedented uplift in enquiries during the second half of Q1 and this seems to be the same for many of our peer companies in the industry.”
“The project wins are down to more methodical pitching, where we are investing much more in the pitch process. We are really going to town helping prospective clients understand what can and can’t be achieved for specific budgets.”
“There also seems to be a strong move away from offshore contracting as prospective clients’ seek a deeper benchmark of standards and accountability, which can only be provided with experienced in-house teams.”
D. Agency is currently expanding it team by recruiting across development and marketing, in addition to planning an academy to further promote Drupal Development skills.
The company is also moving to a larger studio within it current location at The Picture House in Bournemouth.
Our congratulations go out to Senior Drupal Architect Paul Querol, after he achieved Acquia Certified Developer status in the first week of the launch.
This world-class certification program is designed to help organisations such as D. Agency establish a leadership position in the Drupal community by encouraging the achievement of excellence as part of a wider CPD program.
“The testing process was as hard as I expected, but I was really pleased to pass, especially with such a high mark”, say’s Paul.
“It’s a highly worthwhile initiative and I have recommended we encourage other members of the team to take this on.”
Acquia Certification validates the candidate’s skills and knowledge that focus on open source web development and Acquia products and services.
Studio Director Phil Allen claims: “Acquia Developer Certification fits excellently with our company’s focus on C.A.N.I., the Demming principles of constant and never ending improvement.”
“We congratulate Acquia on creating this highly valuable certification program and look forward to helping additional team members take part.”
